If your answer is "yes"... then you are right, because the worldwide WannaCry attack shows that even large companies are not immune to hackers. Are you sure that your company is properly protected against an attack? Do you always immediately install safety updates from Microsoft? Or do you prefer to wait for the impact tests from your IT department?

Here, we'll now give you a few first-aid tips to help reduce the risk of an attack or prevent one completely.

  • Don't open emails or attachments from unknown senders, or when you didn't expect an email from the sender.
  • If you have doubts about an email, file, or link, don't take any risks, don't open it.
  • If you suspect that your device has been infected anyway, remove it from the network and turn it off. Disconnect external devices such as USB sticks, external hard drives, etc., from the infected device.
